
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Design and Development:
-Design and develop comprehensive STEM curricula for K-12 and/or higher education levels, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices.
-Create lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and hands-on activities that foster an interactive and engaging learning environment.
-Integrate interdisciplinary approaches, incorporating real-world applications and project-based learning opportunities.
Collaboration and Consultation:
-Work closely with educators, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather input and feedback during the curriculum development process.
-Collaborate with instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and technology experts to enhance curriculum delivery and effectiveness.
-Provide guidance and support to teachers and educators on the implementation of the STEM curricula.
Evaluation and Improvement:
-Develop and implement assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of the STEM curricula and student learning outcomes.
-Collect and analyze data from pilot programs and classroom implementations to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven adjustments.
-Stay current with the latest research, trends, and advancements in STEM education to continuously enhance curriculum content.
Professional Development:
-Design and conduct professional development workshops and training sessions for educators to effectively implement the STEM curricula.
-Create resources and support materials for teachers to facilitate the integration of STEM concepts into their classrooms.
Resource Development:
-Develop supplementary materials such as student guides, teacher manuals, multimedia resources, and online content to support the STEM curricula.
-Ensure that all resources are accessible, user-friendly, and adaptable to different learning environments.
Project Management:
-Manage multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals and timelines.
-Maintain detailed records of curriculum development processes, including version control and documentation of revisions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Curriculum Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching in STEM subjects.
Proven experience in developing and implementing STEM curricula in educational settings.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of STEM education standards, pedagogical theories, and curriculum design principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in educational technology tools and software.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for STEM education.
